There are some titles that have come out in the last 10 or so years that are no longer considered new, but they still evoke the same kind of nostalgia. One of those titles for me is Shin Megami Tensei: There have been 4 things related either directly or partly to Persona 3: The first game to be released was Shin Megami Tensei: This is the game that brought a lot of people to the Persona franchise and possibly more people to the Shin Megami Tensei franchise as well.

Shadow activity outside Tartarus is connected to the waxing and waning of the Moon; specifically, the most plot-relevant enemy Shadows appear on nights with full moons. Also, certain Persona attacks are more effective on New and Full Moons. The names of several locations and characters also include references to the moon or moonlight. This never means anything good.

Feb 9, First thread, hooray. So since all this stuff with heavy ties to P3 came out last year and are clogging up my backlog, and with P5 on the distant horizon, I’m booting this one up. I played P4G to death trying to max out all the social links and I know that game had a lot of fiddly stuff in it, like making sure to max out the Jester link by a certain time, maxing out courage and knowledge for the Wheel of Fortune link, things like that. Despite a good story, production quality and a reasonably innovative and fun combat system, Persona 3 failed to impress me for a number of reasons. What if there were a Dark Hour, a twenty-fifth hour of the day? What if only a few people were conscious during it, and the rest of us turned into coffins for its duration? What if horrific shadowy creatures preyed upon those unfortunate enough to be conscious during that time?
What if you could do something about it? The new dormitory he moves into is actually a secret base for SEES, the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, a group determined to hunt down the Shadows plaguing their city.
